Today, 323.APARTMENTS launched video streaming as another method to resolve resident maintenance problems in real-time.
The 323.APARTMENTS video streaming platform is based on WebRTC /SIP compliant transcoding, which runs within our maintenance request database. Residents do not need any upgrade or app to use the system.
Here is how it works ...
The resident submits a maintenance request ticket. After the maintenance request is received, the manager replies with a unique one-time link. The resident taps the link to launch his/her browser. The resident is not required to download any app or plugin. After the resident tap the link, his/her browser takes control of his/her smartphone camera and microphone. Then participants begin their live video communication. Either participant can bring other people into the meeting adhoc, without credentials or app. The entire system runs on a regular smartphone browser such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. Either party may record the call (.mp4) for future reference. The calls are also archived along with the maintenance request ticket.
No additional registration is required to participate in video streaming maintenance calls. However, residents must be able to submit maintenance request tickets via their email, our website, or text messaging.
